Bruce will never know how to get the best from skillful players like Kapo. Under this manager, as I said last week, he is a luxury that we can't afford.

Exactly. Blues fans only want to see players running around at 100 miles per hour with sweat pouring off them. No room for the artiste, the thinker, the one that makes the ball do the work. Pathetic.

No daddy, your pathetic. :crying:

Why should a player have to sweat for his club, the rewards just aren't worth it. :ph43r:

Leechy I think you have misread my post or I didn't explain it better. I'll rephrase it.

"Blues fans only want to see players running around at 100 miles per hour with sweat pouring off them, but don't count me with them. Is there no room for the artiste, the thinker, the one that makes the ball do the work?

Pathetic"

Do you think he knows what he's gonna do with Palacios and Oubina? Me neither.

Of course - it's obvious.

He's going to play them as defensive midfielders !

If Bruce won't play to Kapo's strengths what's the point in playing him (out of position?)

Kapo played mostly on the left side for Levante and for Juventus. His main obstacle from getting into the Juventus team was Pavel Nedved, who plays on the left hand side of midfield. So if Bruce is ripe for criticism for playing him "out of position", then so is Fabio Capello.

But they play in a 5 formation whereas Blues don't, anyone of the 5 support the lone striker whereas Blues don't, big difference and in quality, would you say our best performance was Chelsea this season? i would given the opposition, thats when SB played Kapo in a drifting role, not as a wide MF player and like i said earlier his best game so far and an excellent goal too.

Creative midfield players seems to be the new theme. Who was the last one we had ??

Dunn.

I admit it is a short list but that is because Bruce doesn't buy creative midfielders. I don't think he knows what they are for

And before Dunn ?

Dugarry.

Except he would only play centre forward for us, and Bruce accomodated him (I would have as well, mind).

just wondered if any of you were like me begining to wonder about kapo. I think he is not the type of player we can afford to have in our team. he dont give enough for me i think he will have one good game and four bad ones type of player and this is effecting the others. thet all looked lathargic yesterday. what do you think

New country, new league and already in 5 games he has played As a second striker / just behind the striker, left wing and right wing. Have I missed any?

And people wonder why its taking time to settle.

exactly!! his best game to date was Chelsea, where for part of the game he played just off Forssell and was allowed to drift into good positions, since then SB has used him out wide where he isn't effective, sorry its down to management IMO not the player. :(

thats true and it is also the fact of the matter that the Chelsea game (and I include the Derby game) was the only one where we played football to the potential of the players. Since then we seem to have forgotten how to play.

the question of kapo

against chelsea he did indeed have his most effective game

however at home IMO we need two out and out strikers

as bruce does not seem to trust him playing centrally in a 4 he like DUNN and DANNS before him gets shoved onto the left where he becomes invisible because he does not get enough ball

diamond formation

MUAMBA
JOHSON LARSSON
KAPO

JEROME FORSELL

????????????
